If you’re like me and are the literal worst at meal prepping then you know how frustrating it can be to come home after a long day of work and stand in your kitchen trying to figure out how the hodgepodge of ingredients in your fridge can make a meal. And that’s only if you didn’t skip your weekly grocery trip (no judgment). In the end, you end up ordering in and feeling guilty for yet another night of takeout, because you don’t have the energy, time, or cookware to make a meal that you know will take hours to just prepare. Luckily, your cooking prayers have been answered thanks to David Chang’s, who is also the owner of Momofuku, propecia in canada and Priya Krishna’s latest cookbook – Cooking at Home: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying About Recipes (And Love My Microwave). It officially comes out on October 26, but you can preorder it now for $24.99 — $10 less than the list price.
When you think of a cookbook written by a well-renowned chef and restaurant founder, low-effort dishes may not be the first to come to mind, but as David learned growing up from his mom (who also happens to be one of the best cooks he knows), cooking doesn’t have to be done the hard way. The cookbook features everything from tips on how to properly freeze food to how to turn less than ideal produce into mouth-watering vegetables everyone will enjoy.

There’s definitely a fair share of cookbooks on the market, but none like this one that actually encourages you to let loose in the kitchen and have fun with it. As someone who views cooking as more of a chore than something to enjoy, I’m personally very excited for this cookbook to release.
This is also a great purchase for the serial recipe follower in your life as David and Priya are both advocates for sometimes ditching the recipe and just tasting and adjusting your way to a terrific meal. For those interested in getting more comfortable in the kitchen and learning simple, microwavable meals, you can buy the cookbook on Amazon for $24.99 when it’s released on Tuesday, October 26.
