Jules Robinson’s Skincare Routine Is Seriously Motivating

Scroll through all of the photos on Jules Robinson’s Instagram and you’ll immediately wonder what she does to keep her skin looking so d*mn good. Not only does the 39-year-old look just generally fresh for a new mum, but her skin glows, shimmers, radiates and [insert sparkling skin adjective here] with absolutely no filter.

So how does she do it?

Taking her skincare into her own hands, Jules became a master of finding the right moments for some me-time after the birth of beautiful baby Ollie – even if that means just having a long shower. It’s part of her self-care routine. “I actually feel I stepped up my beauty game after having my son, in the sense that when as when I do get time to have a long shower, or know I have free window without any interruption for some me-time – I will do the complete works! I really go to town, head to toe,” she tells WH. “Just cause I don’t know when the next time could be! It’s so important to make that time for yourself.”

You might want to grab a pen and notepad because the rest of her tips ahead are great.

She’s all about hydration – especially in winter.

“I hate the cold! I actually don’t know how I lived in the UK for 14 years sometimes. I just don’t gel with the cooler weather and neither does my skin! My body gets so dry and this Winter I have been using the CeraVe’s Reparative Hand Cream and one application helps keep it hydrated for 24 hours. I keep one at my desk to remind me to do it every day! It’s made a really difference! For my body, I use its Moisturising Cream, which is super fast absorbing and light weight.”

She knows when to lean on her other half.

“Mum life is wonderful, every stage is a new stage that you eventually nail then it’s on to next. It’s definitely made me more patient and playful. My husband and I 100% co-parent our son, we communicate, make plans ahead, and be flexible with one another. It just means I can live my best mum life and not lose my identity of what makes me me and vice versa. Sharing all responsibilities gives us both the time to still have a little time to ourselves, as we all know these little bundles of joy are the most beautiful consuming things ever. Seeing Cam get some much joy from fatherhood is such a pleasure to watch.”

A good kit goes a long way.

“[I swear by]Coma Organics’ ‘Feel Good” aromatherapy spray. I spray it on me or in the air and stand in the uplifting mist and just breath. It creates a feeling of calm and peace, it literally does what it says and it makes you feel instantly good!”

“[As for my must-haves], I use exposed natural deodorant – I switched when pregnant and never looked back! Dior Addict perfume, Minx tan – I love a dark tan! Revlon Colour Stay Foundation, MCoBeauty wing liner, it’s really black, and 1000HR Lashes, Dior 601 Rouge Blush Hologram, and dry shampoo.”

..and so does a solid skincare routine.

AM skincare regime

Step 1: Morning routine, I cleanse with CeraVe’s Foaming Cleanser, even in my 30’s I still get break outs, so this cleanser really helps to reduce excess oil while keeping the skin hydrated

Step 2: L’Oréal’s Revitalift Filler Serum, this is Hyaluronic Acid to lock in moisture

Step 3 CeraVe’s Eye Repair Cream

Step 4 CeraVe’s AM Facial Moisturising Lotion with SPF 15+ this one disappears very quickly as my husband has decided as well that it is the best sunscreen / moisturiser he has used

PM skincare regime

Step 1: My PM routine is CeraVe’s Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser. This is great to remove make up because of its amino acid based surfactant but the three essential Cermides and Hyaluronic Acid helps lock in moisture at the same time.

Step 2: I use L’Oreal’s Pure Retinol Serum 1-2 times a week

Step 3: CeraVe’s PM Facial Moisturising Lotion all over my face and neck, I love this cream, I wake up feeling so hydrated!
